The contract is between you, the person who is renting one of Mary’s Thatched Cottages and the proprietors of Tigh Mairi, Tigh Phadraig or Tigh Lachie respectively.

Your responsibilities

You must keep the holiday accommodation at Mary’s Thatched Cottages and all furniture and fittings in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday. You must leave the premises in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which you found it on your arrival. You will be responsible for all breakages, damage or loss to the property during your rental period and will be responsible for paying appropriate compensation in the event of any breakages, damage or loss. You should report any items accidentally broken or damaged prior to your departure from the cottage (The odd broken glass, plate or bowl is not an issue but burns by people who should not be smoking in the cottages or pets that chew furniture would require compensation). Please also report any problems or failures in a timely manner so that it can be dealt with as soon as possible (we might need to call out tradesmen and it is always easier through the day than in the evening).

Formation of the contract

Before making a booking please ensure there is availability either by contacting the owners or by checking the online availability charts. Thereafter a non-refundable deposit of either £100 or £250 (dependant on current promotion) is required to secure your booking. The number of guests must be stated at the time of booking. Overnight guests are permitted by prior arrangement only.

The balance is due 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday unless previously arranged with the respective owner. If the booking is less than 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday the full balance of the holiday is payable at the time of booking unless previously arranged.
