One of the most relaxing and enjoyable trips I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and peaceful. Tigh Lachie itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything we needed including thoughtful touches like board games and local guidebooks. The attention to detail was clear throughout. The setting was absolutely stunning, it truly felt like a retreat from the everyday. John and the team were fantastic, providing clear instructions and a little welcome gift, which was such a lovely surprise. Whether you're looking for a romantic weekend, a solo escape, or a quiet place to reconnect with nature, I highly recommend this cottage. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed in Tigh Mairi and we honestly loved everything about it! It truly captures the essence of what you would imagine a stay on the Isle of Skye to be. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you'd need, including having a modern kitchen with all equipment necessary. The rest of the cottage is beautifully finished, clean and new. The area around is what you'd expect typically, nice for walks and beautiful scenery. The hosts were easy to contact when needed, friendly, and welcomed us with some local goodies which was a very nice gesture

We stayed in one of the thatched cottages (An Nead). We came here to stay the night before and night of our wedding. We charted a boat from Elgol to Loch Coruisk one sunny and windy Sunday in May.
The location of the surrounding grounds and garden plague our photographers perfect pre wedding shots, as the gardens are stunning and well kept, with lawns and wilder sections. We had our 7 month old puppy with us, so stayed in the dog friendly cottage, and the gardens were perfect for him. The cottage was very clean, and beautifully furnished and decorated with every appliance you would need, (hair dryer, tv, dvds hoover, iron, excellent coffee machine) - whilst having everything you need, the cottage also keeps it original features and charm.

We were greater with flowers, freshly ground coffee, fresh homemade bread (still warm), chocolates, a local cheese plate and fudges. These thoughtful and considered touches, mostly locally sourced, were an example of how everything in the accommodation was an effort made, which was worthwhile and was done with reason.

This level of effort was also shown in the restaurant, where we ate breakfast and dinner. The ingredients were locally sourced and top quality, all elements of the meals were homemade and were fantastic.

We plan on returning some day and we hope this fabulous restaurant and accommodation will be here when we return

Tigh Lachie is full of character, well appointed and a comfortable cottage, with everything thoughtfully provided. We loved the locality and feeling of privacy in this stunning location. A perfect base for us to enjoy the magnificent Isle of Skye.

Everything about Tigh Lachie was incredible! As a family who has been traveling extensively throughout Europe, this was by far our favorite stay! If I could give it a higher rating, I absolutely would! John was outstanding – he reached out before, during, and after our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We arrived during a heavy snowstorm, but John ensured we were safe to reach the cottage and even offered to adjust our stay to make sure we got the full experience. His communication was truly above and beyond! When we arrived, the cottage was warm and welcoming, with everything we could possibly need already in place. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. The bed was incredibly cozy, and it was a lovely touch to find staple foods like eggs, bread, milk, wine, and chocolate waiting for us. This cottage is a true gem, and we can't recommend it highly enough! A 10-star experience all the way!

We stayed at Tigh Lachie for a week at the beginning of June and it was fantastic. The cottage is spotless and has everything you need. We loved the location as well - it was quiet and just a short walk to a little beach shop/cafe. Our dog loved the little goodie bag as well and is obsessed with his new toy! We would really recommend staying here if you are visiting Skye.
