Tigh Phadraig was the first cottage constructed and was built using the stone from the original ancestral family croft of Drew Sim. Tigh Phadraig ,named after Drew and Mary’s son Patrick, welcomed its first guests on the 26th of May 2001 and has since had many hundreds of satisfied visitors.
The cottage combines the look of the ‘traditional blackhouse’ with all the modern comforts that you would expect today. The cottage sleeps four people with a traditional veiled boxed king size bed downstairs with two single beds upstairs in the mezzanine and accessed via a foldaway ladder. A travel cot is also available.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances including microwave, fridge, dishwasher, cooker hob and oven. A coffee cafetière is a welcome addition to be enjoyed whilst reading a book in front of the iron stove fire.
Outside there are stunning views across the Strathaird peninsula and beyond to the Isle of Rum. There are world class photography locations within 15 minutes in every direction with a particular favourite over to the Cuillin mountain range. A type 2 electric car charging socket is also available to use.
We are also pet friendly for up to two well behaved dogs and there are many walks that can be accessed nearby.
