More Info…

Effortlessly combining both modern and traditional, Tigh (meaning house, or home) Phadraig is the perfect self-catering accommodation for a unique, luxurious break. It is one of our four cottages on the croft situated just outside of Elgol, Isle of Skye, which has belonged to six generations of Andrew’s family.

The cottage is named after our son and the stonework used was the original Elgol school where pupils only attended school if there were no chores to be done. They paid one penny per week and each child would bring a peat per day. The preacher, Donald Robertson (born 1815) and son of Angus Robertson (born 1766) and Margaret MacKinnon (born 1776), paid £10 per year to teach at the school.
