We stayed in Tigh Mairi for a week in March where we had the best time eloping to Loch Coruisk. There was a beautiful welcome arrangement waiting for us with flowers and bubbles and the cottage was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. Its now forever immortalised in our wedding photos with great fondness, thank you Rachel and all involved at MTCs, forever grateful to your first class contribution to a really special time

We are so pleased you stayed with us... do come and see us again!

Thank you for a lovely holiday. The beautiful Tigh Lachie was warm inviting, bigger on the inside it had everything we needed and set in beautiful grounds . Beds were so comfortable after a day in the fresh air. We all slept extremely well in lovely bedding. The shower was fabulous and the towels soft thick and excellent quality. The nice extra touch for Roberts 50th was lovely and looking after our dog with her bag of goodies. The kitchen had everything we needed to have lovely family meals Used games provided we made lots of lovely memories in Skye  and hope to return in the near future. Thank you,  Karen

Thank you for your very kind words Karen. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay!

Tigh Lachie...Absolutely stunning cottage in a beautiful location. If the weather is kind the views both at the cottage, from Elgol and the drive there are fantastic.
The welcome pack was something special with our wee dog getting her own welcome note and treats too.
It was very handy to have a washing machine and the whole cottage was well equipped.
Elgol is a bit more remote than other areas in Skye but the location and cottage made up for that. The Elgol Bistro looks brilliant but as it isn’t dog friendly we settled for a take away. It is closed for several days so check first. There is a hotel next door but it needs 24 hours notice and has a limited, fine dining type menu, which didn’t suit our party. The village shop is well stocked for a tiny place and has some takeaway food too both in the shop and from a wee mobile cabin at the harbour. Amy’s Place in Torrin, en route to Elgol, is open most days for a simple breakfast/lunch/cake with a view. A trip to Loch Coruisk is a must. We went with Misty Isles and it’s also dog friendly.
With limited eating options nearby we would have loved a bbq, perhaps a gas one to protect the thatch, but there was a full kitchen available.
We did have a brilliant time and the cottage was cute, comfortable and spotless. Definitely something special!

Thank you....We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay!

Lovely cottage near to Elgol which was also a great place to be based for our holiday. Deer roaming around behind the cottage most days well into the evenings. Tigh Mairi was cosy and welcoming and we wished we could have stayed longer. First time on Skye and what a beautiful place to be for the week.

Tigh Lachie was the perfect stay for a family of four adults. The cottage is well equipped for everything (washer, hair dryer, iron, cooking). It was very clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable.

Thanks for staying with us Rob

We had a wonderful stay at Tigh Lachie. The cottage has a perfect position, in terms of its panoramic views and its proximity to Elgol and the nearby amenities. The cottage is extremely well kitted out with all the necessary gadgets and technology- I especially appreciated the coffee machine and “electric” shower. The interior is extremely well designed to be a mixture of cosy and functional. The almost daily sightings of Golden Eagle is a testament to how well the cottages blend in, using vernacular materials and spatial planning. The whole booking, check-in and checkout process worked effectively and we were really pleased to have the digital guide as a companion while staying. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and recommend a stay in Tigh Lachie to anyone considering a holiday on Skye.

Thanks for staying with us Tim and for your very kind words. You are most welcome to return any time!

We had the most wonderful Honeymoon staying in Elgol. Tigh Lachie was perfect and has everything you could need for a week away!.. The drive up to Mary's Thatched Cottages is spectacular.. the views.. and the loveliest welcome of bubbles and a bunch of roses! Oh and don't forget Luther's doggo treats and special blanket! We will definitely be back to visit! The Weirs 🤍

We greatly enjoyed our stay in the quiet peninsula. Tigh Lachie was perfect for our family. Gorgeous locale and perfectly clean. Traditional thatch cottage.

We absolutely loved our time at Tigh Lachie. It is so comfortable, with everything we needed to relax and enjoy Skye with our little dog and my parents visiting from Canada. We felt very welcomed with the goodies! The weather wasn’t the greatest, but we still got some nice views. We will highly recommend to all our friends!

Thank you Julie, so glad you all enjoyed your stay!
