Honeymoon on the Isle of Skye

If you are looking for the perfect cosy retreat for your romantic honeymoon then Mary’s Cottages might just be the perfect place for your honeymoon on the Isle of Skye. With the veiled curtains the king sized boxed beds is a very cosy corner of the cottage and to keep the rest of the cottage warm there is a fantastic underfloor heating system which makes the caithness stone floors wonderful for walking barefoot on. Over and above there is also a stand alone stove in the large stone fireplace, just incase things need to be heated up still further.

Mary’s Cottages was number one for “cosy winter cottages” in the UK on tripadvisor, the cottages were also the only cottages on the Isle of Skye and one of only 6 cottages in Scotland listed in the top 50 cottages in Britain and Ireland in the Sunday Times Travel Magazine.

The cottages sit within the village of Elgol with the renowned Coruisk House Restaurant next door, just a 1 minute wonder from door to door. A little further at the bottom of the village is the tiny harbour of Elgol with its fabulous views across into the heart of the Cuillin mountain range.

Although the cottages are very popular for honeymoons we also have many romantic getaways and if the kids insist in coming along there are a couple of single beds tucked up in the gallery area, or as the kids will rechristen it, Heidi land.
